colin gibson
Colin Gibson is an Academy Award winning Production Designer, known for designing George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road, for which Gibson also won a BAFTA and Art Directors Guild Award. Most recently, Gibson collaborated again with director Miller on Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival and earned Gibson a nomination at the International Film Festival of Australia.
Gibson began his work as an Art Director, with credits including The Great Wall, Nim's Island, Babe: Pig in the City, Babe and The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. He eventually grew into production design with films such as John Duigan’s Careless Love and Mojgan Khadem’s Serenades. Since then, Gibson has amassed credits including 24 Hours to Live, starring Ethan Hawke, Swinging Safari, and Go Karts. His working relationship with George Miller extends across three films, with his work on Fury Road earning him over 15 awards.
Gibson also boasts television credits, including Love My Way, which received over 30 nominations and over 30 wins during its run, and Operation Buffalo, which earned Gibson an Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts nomination.
Gibson is a global talent with extensive experience working in South Africa, China, Europe and Australia, where he is based.
