Jake Roberts is an Academy Award nominated film editor who has elevated the action, thriller, and horror genres with his intentional and detailed style. Recent credits include Nia DaCosta's 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Fede Alvarez’s Alien for 20th Century Studios, and Alex Garland’s Civil War for A24, which earned him nominations from the British Independent Film Awards, ACE Awards, and the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films.
After his work on Citadel (dir. Ciarán Foy), Starred Up (dir. David Mackenzie), The Riot Club (dir. Lone Scherfig), and the Oscar's Best Picture nominee Brooklyn (dir. John Crowley), Roberts earned an Oscar and Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Film Editing for his work on David Mackenzie's Hell or High Water, starring Chris Pine. Since then, Roberts continued his relationship with director Mackenzie, cutting the gritty Netflix biopic Outlaw King, then began collaborating with director Alex Garland, with credits including the miniseries Devs and the A24 horror Men.
