Oscar-nominated editor Jonathan Redmond brings a rhythmic edge to his work that ultimately results in dynamic and lively cuts. Redmond is a frequent collaborator of director Baz Luhrmann, having cut Elvis starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks, The Great Gatsby starring Leonardo DiCaprio, and the Netflix series The Get Down starring Justice Smith and Shameik Moore.

 

Redmond began his career as an editing assistant on Serenades for director Mojgan Khadem and Moulin Rouge! for director Baz Luhrmann. In the commercial realm, Redmond has cut for brands including Chanel, Prada, Tiffany’s, and H&M.

 

Throughout his career, Redmond has received numerous wins and nominations. For his most recent work on Elvis, Redmond won the Australian Screen Editors award and was nominated for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, and a Critics Choice Award. For The Great Gatsby, Redmond won the Film Critics Circle of Australia Awards and was nominated for the Australian Screen Editors Awards.
