Melissa McCoy, A.C.E. is an American film editor celebrated for her dedication to the art of visual storytelling. With a career spanning across streaming, network and indie projects, Melissa has made her mark, focusing on creating meaningful connections through her work.

 

Melissa’s journey in editing took a notable turn with her involvement in the Apple TV+ series Ted Lasso. She relished getting to shape the series’ heartwarming and humorous moments, earning recognition with three consecutive Emmy nominations and the ACE Eddie Award for Best Edited Comedy Series in 2021. Melissa not only edited the pilot episode, but also served as an editor for the entire three-season run of the show. Her dedication and impact were further underscored as she took on the role of Co-Producer for the third season. Some of Melissa’s other notable series include ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier and the CW’s Life Sentence.

 

Melissa holds an MFA in film editing from Chapman University. In the indie film realm, Melissa collaborated with director and fellow Chapman alum Nick Ozeki on Mamitas, which garnered numerous awards on the festival circuit, ultimately paving the way for the feature film. More recently, she worked with Tony award winner Sarah Jones on her feature directorial debut, Sell/Buy/Date for Executive Producer Meryl Streep, which premiered at the SXSW film festival in 2022.  

 

Melissa resides in Los Angeles, California.
