Patrick Nelson Barnes is an Emmy Award-winning Editor, whose work as screened at Sundance, Tribeca, Venice, and SXSW Film Festival, amongst many others.

​Most recently, Barnes won an Emmy Award for his work on Floyd Russ' Netflix docuseries American Manhunt: The Boston Marathon Bombing. Other recent work includes Jimmy Tatro’s Real Bros of Simi Valley: The Movie, Eli Stern’s California King, and Maika Monroe and Simone Faero’s short The Yellow, which stars Haley Joel Osment and premiered at TIFF.

 

Previous credits include Amber Sealey’s No Man of God and No Light and No Land Anywhere, the former of which stars Elijah Wood and premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, Jim Cummings’ The Wolf of Snow Hollow, and Gabriel Fleming’s The Lost Coast, which was officially selected and nominated at Venice Film Festival and SXSW Film Festival. Barnes also collaborated with Jamie Foxx on his directorial debut All-Star Weekend, which stars Gerard Butler, Robert Downey Jr., Benicio Del Toro, and Eva Longoria.

 

Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Barnes is now based in LA and offers a unique perspective given his experience in both narrative and documentary work.
