Tyler Nelson, A.C.E. is an American film editor. Early in his career, he found his way into the orbit of director David Fincher, as first assistant editor on The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Social Network (which earned an Academy Award for editors Angus Wall & Kirk Baxter), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (another Academy Award for the pair), House of Cards, and Gone Girl.

 

In 2016, Tyler reunited with David Fincher, editing eight episodes of the acclaimed Netflix series Mindhunter. He then moved on to edit episodes of Tales From the Loop and Shadow and Bone before editing The Batman for Matt Reeves and Warner Bros. Pictures.

 

In addition to films and television, Tyler has edited two episodes of Tim Miller’s sci-fi anthology series Love, Death & Robots for Netflix and the music video for Justin Timberlake’s "Suit & Tie". 

 

Tyler is also dedicated to giving back to the film editing community. He serves as co-director of the American Cinema Editors (ACE) Internship program and continues to mentor aspiring editors.

 

Tyler resides in Los Angeles and recently completed Creed III for MGM.
