A BFDG and ADG Award-winner, Production Designer Jeremy Reed is recognized for his visually striking and atmospheric work across feature films, high-end commercials and iconic music videos. Recent work includes Zachary Wigon’s horror/thriller Victorian Psycho, which premiered at Cannes Film Festival, Kirill Sokolov’s horror/fantasy They Will Kill You, which premiered at SXSW Film Festival, and Bryan Fuller’s Dusty Bunny, which premiered at TIFF and won a Saturn Award for Best Independent Film.
The boundless and imaginative nature of Reed’s designs is evident across much of his work, including Osgood Perkins’ Gretel & Hansel, Adam Randall’s riveting vampire action Night Teeth, and Sacha Gervasi’s eccentric 1990s-set biopic My Dinner with Hervé. Reed’s designs also span across grounded settings, as seen in the haunting drama I Am the Pretty Thing that Lives in the House and Max Winkler’s sports drama Jungleland, starring Jack O’Connell. Across his career, Reed has designed for major production companies including Amazon MGM Studios, Warner Bros, Lionsgate, Netflix, and Paramount.
Upcoming for Reed is Brad Peyton’s big-budget action The Kellys, which filmed in Budapest.
Born in England and raised in Zimbabwe, Reed later attended the prestigious Harrow School in London, and after graduation completed his national service in the Zimbabwean military as a paratrooper. Afterwards, whilst attending university at Yale, he discovered a love for architecture, an education he has been following informally ever since. Now based in LA, Reed works globally, holding US, UK, and Irish citizenship.
