Production Designer Til Frohlich has played an integral role in shaping immersive worlds across iconic fantasy and horror projects. Most recently, Frohlich designed the intricate, haunted hotel of Damian McCarthy’s Hokum, which premiered at SXSW Film Festival and stars Adam Scott. This year, he also received an ADG nomination for his work on season 2 of Netflix’s gothic fantasy series Wednesday

 

With a strong background in art direction and draught work, Frohlich’s other notable credits include Universal’s epic live action remake of How to Train Your Dragon, F. Gary Gray’s large-scale action Lift, Julius Avery’s Russel Crowe-led horror The Pope’s Exorcist, Adam Shankman’s fantastical Disenchanted, and Cathy Brady’s moving drama Wildfire, which premiered at Toronto International Film Festival. As a draughtsman, Frohlich has also lended his skills to major pictures such as Nia DaCosta’s 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, Danny Boyle’s 28 Years Later, and Ridley Scott’s The Last Duel. 

 

Other design work includes Declan Reck’s contemporary sports drama Tarrac, Dennis Bartok’s horror Nails, and episodes of the mystery series The Cuckoo and comedy series The Young Offenders, which earned multiple nominations from the Irish Film and Television Awards, including Best Comedy. His experience across different formats and various genres is a testament to his versatility and affinity for director-driven work.

 

Originally from Germany and now based in Ireland, Frohlich works internationally and is fluent in English and German.
